Lykke E. Andersen

Lykke
Andersen holds a Ph. D. in Economics from Aarhus University,
Denmark. She has worked on development for more than 10 years,
living and working in Denmark, UK, Kazakhstan, U.S.A., Brazil, Nicaragua
and Bolivia. She speaks English, Spanish and Danish fluently, and reads German, Portuguese and French.
She has worked as
consultant for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the
Andean Development Bank (CAF),
various UN agencies (UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF and OMS), a number of bilateral
development agencies, several governmental institutions such as the
Ministry of Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Education, and the
National Statistical Institute, and a few NGOs. During the last five years she has
worked as Chief Economist at the Institute for Socio-Economic Research
at the Bolivian Catholic University where she also served as editor for
the Latin American Journal of Economic
Development. She is currently coordinating the elaboration of
one of the 2006 Regional Human Development Reports for the United
Nations Development Program in Bolivia.
